HOME YARD COTTAGES
Home Yard Cottages was inspired by the need to expand and bolster the deep supportive programming that Transitions has offered its participants since 1995. The organization’s main goal was to create a supportive housing community. The modest cottages and intentional community space create a nurturing environment for its residents and is aimed at serving community members who have experienced homelessness. A central aspect of Home Yard Cottages model is supportive services tailored to residents’ individual needs, helping connect households to resources that promote housing stability, well-being, and self-sufficiency. Home Yard cottages also emphasizes energy efficiency building techniques (15 of the 24 cottages are Net Zero).
