MAKING HOME POSSIBLE
Across the Pacific Northwest, people from all walks of life are being priced out of housing that meets their needs. Rising costs, limited supply, and complex barriers leave too many people with nowhere to turn. Community Frameworks steps into these gaps with compassion, tenacity, and creativity.
CLOSING GAPS & OPENING DOORS
We work across the housing ecosystem to address the critical gaps that stand between people and housing opportunity.
-

Affordability
Through down payment assistance and regional programs, we make homeownership achievable. Residents in our rental homes pay on average 34% less than in the private market.
-

Knowledge
We provide education and counseling in budgeting, credit, and homeownership—equipping 250+ families each year with the tools they need not just to buy a home, but to keep it.
-

Supply
We create homes for people to rent and buy—developing affordable housing and partnering with nonprofits across the Northwest to expand options in both large and small communities.
-

Expertise
We share our housing development know-how with nonprofit partners, guiding efforts from concept to completion, helping 50+ organizations in the last five years expand their capacity to deliver housing.
AMPLIFYING IMPACT ACROSS THE NORTHWEST
Community Frameworks amplifies every investment—turning partnerships, funding, and expertise into housing outcomes that reach far beyond our size. Our work has helped 5,000+ families achieve first-time homeownership, contributed to the creation of 1,700+ rental homes across Washington, and delivered $5 million+ in down payment assistance—expanding housing access for individuals and families across the Northwest.
EXPERIENCED CATALYST. PROVEN RESULTS.
Community Frameworks serves as an experienced catalyst—bringing together partners, funding, and expertise to move housing forward across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Montana. We help align the people and resources, navigate complexity, and turn ideas into action.
NATIONAL HOUSING LEADERSHIP
As one of only four national intermediaries for HUD’s Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP), Community Frameworks helps direct critical funding to partners across the Northwest.
Since 1996, SHOP has helped nonprofits and housing authorities create homeownership opportunities through sweat equity programs. Nationally, SHOP has supported more than 35,000 homes, housed more than 105,000 people, and leveraged over $4.2 billion in other public and private investment. More than 40% of SHOP homes are located in rural areas.
PART OF A NATIONAL NETWORK
Community Frameworks is a chartered member of the NeighborWorks® network—nearly 250 high-performing community development organizations nationwide, recognized for strong financial stewardship and measurable impact.
Community Frameworks is one of the four NeighborWorks organizations in Washington. 2025 alone, our organizations have had significant impact, including creating homeownership for 170 families, providing rental homes to more than 8,500 people and generating over $2.7 million in community economic benefit.
