Mixed Use
Mixed-use projects (commercial, residential and retail) create savings to developers enabling them to create of affordable housing because the development is sharing in the costs for the building operation and often, parking. In addition, the commercial and retail operations can help subsidize the affordable housing component of the development. This is a particularly useful approach when land prices are high.
