Liz Cole, St. Joseph Family Center
Liz joined the Community Frameworks board in July 2007. Liz works as an Intake Coordinator at the St. Joseph Family Center. She has a Ph. D. in Experimental Psychology and, prior to joining the Sisters of Providence, was a Professor of Psychology at Gonzaga University for more than 30 years. Her volunteer work includes performing the Retreat Director responsibilities for the Spokane SEEL program and providing visitor/ministry services at the WA State penitentiary and Juvenile Detention Center.
Von Elison, Central Washington Disability Services
Von was elected to the Community Frameworks board in June 2008. Von is the Executive Director for Central Washington Disability Services in Ellensburg, WA. Von’s volunteer experience includes membership of the Northwest Estates 811 Board of Directors, which is responsible for Northwest Estates, a Moses Lake housing community for individuals with physical, mental and emotional disabilities. In addition, through her association with a number of statewide organizations, Von has been active developing local, statewide, and regional partnerships to expand the geographic scope of independent living services in rural areas of central Washington. She has a BA in Psychology from Central Washington University and is currently working on a MPA from Seattle University.
Brian Norris, Wells Fargo Bank
Brian joined the Community Frameworks board in July 2008. Brian has been involved in banking, finance and business for 20 years. He is Vice President for Wells Fargo Bank’s high net worth section, handling all facets of his client’s banking and lending needs and collaborating with a team of specialists in the investment management, trust, and brokerage areas. Brian’s volunteer activities include positions as Troop Treasurer and Assistant Patrol Leader for Boy Scouts of America. Brian has also actively fundraised for the YMCA, Kiwanis, and the United Way. His education includes a BA in Business Administration from Washington State University and an AAS in Business from Pierce Community College.
Mike Otis, FRP Benefits Group
Mike joined the Community Frameworks board in July 2008. Mike is a Consulting Broker for the FRP Benefits Group and has developed expertise in the public relations, marketing and fundraising areas through his professional work and volunteer activities. For more than 10 years, Mike has dedicated a portion of his free time to volunteering for the following organizations: Lutheran Community Services, Spokane Sexual Assault Center, Grace Lutheran Church, US Figure Skating Association, and Central Spokane Lions. Mike’s educational background includes an AA degree from Spokane Community College.
Bob Stone, Housing Management Systems
Bob joined the Community Frameworks board in January 2007. Bob has vast experience in housing. Prior to joining the CF Board of Directors, he was a management consultant for NeighborWorks® America, specializing in property and asset management and database systems. Some of the most notable activities in Bob’s earlier work history include self employment as a housing development consultant for nonprofit housing corporations in 22 states, positions with two nonprofit organizations in Los Angeles’ Skid Row neighborhood as Director of Housing Management and Operations Manager, and becoming the first Executive Director for the Sacramento Neighborhood Housing Services. Bob’s volunteer work includes serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Philippines.
Jessie Wilkerson, HomeStarts Takoda Park Homeowner
Jessie was elected to the Community Frameworks board in July 2008. She and her family purchased a home in CF’s Takoda Park Community in 2007. They were energetic members of the Takoda Park Phase I build group, spending many hours and much energy in building both their home and their neighbor’s homes. Jessie’s experience with working with her neighbors to build the homes in her community has given her a first hand understanding of the Community Frameworks’ programs and services, which she can share with the CF board and staff during her tenure as a board member. This experience will also enable Jessie to become a dynamic representative for Community Frameworks’ at CF special events and other public venues. |
